Warehouse Controller – Vereeniging

About the role

The Warehouse Controller will oversee the boards warehouse in Vereeniging, ensuring that all stock is received, stored and dispatched in line with the company’s standard operating procedures. The role is responsible for accurate packing, stock control and maintaining a safe, clean warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and follow all company SOPs for warehouse operations.
• Plan and dispatch completed orders to customers.
• Receive stock from suppliers and other branches, completing all required paperwork.
• Verify that dispatched boards match picking slips and customer invoices.
• Maintain picking slip records and manage file documentation.
• Conduct regular stock counts, including quarterly and year‑end inventories.
• Monitor stock levels, update Stock Control Sheets and perform daily cycle counts.
• Coordinate stock transfers between bulk and selling warehouses.
• Manage overtime planning and resolve customer queries.
• Ensure health‑and‑safety compliance, PPE usage and overall warehouse cleanliness.
• Supervise a team of up to 15 staff, logging overtime and incentives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in warehouse management and stock control.
• Experience in the woodworking industry is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of at least 15 people.
• Good physical health and ability to work under pressure.

• Proficiency with Google Apps.
