Vice President Finance – Africa

About the role

The Vice President Finance will lead the finance agenda for a fast‑growing digital business operating across multiple African markets. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will shape financial strategy, ensure robust governance and support the company’s expansion plans.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to define and execute financial strategy and drive business performance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning for all African markets.
• Produce executive reports, financial insights and performance analyses.
• Strengthen KPI frameworks and decision‑support tools.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance, compliance and audit readiness.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance and regulatory obligations.
• Support market expansion, licensing activities and commercial investments.
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators and external advisors.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high‑performing regional finance team.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience (Financial Director, Head of Finance, CFO or equivalent).
• Extensive exposure to multi‑entity, multi‑country operations.
• Background in regulated, listed or highly governed environments.
• Deep knowledge of financial reporting, controls, compliance and governance.
• Experience in high‑volume transactional businesses.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Executive‑level stakeholder management capability.
• Hands‑on leadership style with pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
