Vaccines Medical Science Liaison – South Africa

About the role

We are seeking a field‑based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in vaccines to cover South Africa. The MSL will act as a scientific bridge between our organization and healthcare professionals, providing balanced medical information and gathering clinical insights to inform local strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain credible, peer‑to‑peer relationships with clinicians, investigators and professional societies.
• Deliver accurate, non‑promotional scientific information in one‑to‑one and small-group settings.
• Collect, document and share the medical voice of the customer and clinical insights to shape evidence generation plans.
• Support clinical research activities, including site identification, investigator engagement and scientific input to studies.
• Plan and deliver medical education events, advisory boards and scientific workshops in collaboration with internal partners.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to align medical activities with patient‑focused goals and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine, pharmacy, nursing or life sciences (e.g., MBChB, MBBS, MD, PharmD, BPharm, MSc, PhD).
• Strong scientific knowledge of vaccines and ability to communicate complex data.
• Willingness to travel regularly across assigned territory in South Africa.
