Unit Manager – Trauma/Emergency

About the role

The Life Anncron Hospital is seeking a Unit Manager for its Trauma/Emergency Unit. The role involves overseeing clinical practice, coordinating resources and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality patient care in line with hospital objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective clinical leadership by implementing nursing care plans and coordinating multidisciplinary treatment programs.
• Ensure staff competence, supervise students, and create a learning‑focused environment.
• Promote patient and customer satisfaction, handle complaints, and conduct quality care rounds and audits.
• Implement national quality initiatives, identify clinical and safety risks, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead people management processes, embody LHC values, and sponsor initiatives to improve productivity.
• Participate in business planning, budgeting and manage nursing costs, stock utilization and equipment maintenance.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including doctors, patients, families and service providers.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership in a nursing or clinical setting.
• Ability to manage people‑related processes and drive professional socialisation.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and resource management within a healthcare unit.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
• Commitment to quality improvement, risk management and compliance with national standards.
