DPH Services Manager – Hospital Facilities

About the role

Effective coordination and management of internal support services and external service providers within a hospital environment, ensuring quality, growth and people objectives are met. The role oversees services such as catering, cleaning, security, garden, hygiene, pest control, medical and general waste, laundry and coffee shops.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all engineering and soft services across two hospital facilities.
• Create and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
• Review service level agreements, document specific hospital requirements and obtain required signatures.
• Monitor SLA conformance, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in internal and external review meetings.
• Ensure external providers meet quality standards and health‑and‑safety legislation.
• Identify alert and incident trends and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Lenmed’s Quality Audit standards (ISO 9001:2008).
• Submit weekly project planner reports to MANCO and HM.
• Participate in budgeting process and monitor performance against budget.
• Maintain the hospital facilities in a clean and habitual state.
• Complete CAPEX contract scope changes for permanent service adjustments.

Required profile

• Recognised 3–4 year Engineering degree or National Diploma at NQF level 7.
• Minimum three years’ experience managing large teams.
• Knowledge and exposure to industrial relations.
• Proven 3–5 year track record managing outsourced/insourced soft services, integrated facilities management and bundled services.
• Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous; experience in hospitality, retail or FMCG is also valued.
• Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates.
