About the role
AFRIMAT CM North, based in Mpumalanga, is hiring a Truck Driver for a fixed-term position of 3 months, based in Dingwell. The role covers safe operation of trucks and basic vehicle checks.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
- Operate the truck safely and comply with traffic laws.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
- Complete trip logbooks and inspection checklists.
- Report breakdowns, accidents and maintenance needs.
- Comply with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Valid, unendorsed Code 14 driver's licence and applicable PrDP.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English.
- Willingness to work after hours when required.
- Criminal record screening, subject to applicable legal requirements.
- Medical fitness in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and company standards.
