Travel Management Officer

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Officer: Logistics Management, the Travel Management Officer will facilitate tactical procurement operations for travel bookings of Road Accident Fund employees, ensuring compliance with policies and efficient service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the tactical procurement function, including requesting quotations, processing purchase orders and maintaining purchase documentation.
• Prepare and manage travel requests, close booking transactions in SAP, and provide feedback to end‑users on travel documents.
• Produce weekly statistics on travel requests, assess travel‑related risks and draft risk‑management strategies.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring invoices are processed and paid on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or a finance‑related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a travel‑management or procurement environment, preferably within a state‑owned entity.
• Ability to undergo security vetting and, for foreign qualifications, provide SAQA evaluation.
