Transport Manager

About the role

The Transport Manager will lead the transport operations of our Centre of Excellence, ensuring smooth, efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating staff, vehicles and external service providers to meet daily operational demands.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of transport operations, including planning and execution.
• Manage the availability and scheduling of drivers, vehicles and support staff.
• Control transport budgets and ensure compliance with financial constraints.
• Maintain strong relationships with service contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor daily activities, resolve driver and store queries, and ensure licensing requirements are met.
• Lead staff performance reviews, coaching and development initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement to achieve optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport or logistics management.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with external partners.
• Knowledge of transport licensing and compliance standards.
