Outbound Logistics Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Outbound Logistics Manager to lead the outbound operations of a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturer. The role will oversee the efficient movement of finished goods from the warehouse to customers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor outbound shipments to meet delivery schedules.
• Manage stock levels and oversee warehousing processes to optimise inventory turnover.
• Implement and maintain fruit handling protocols in line with product requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and promote a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as production, sales and procurement to align logistics activities.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar outbound logistics role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of stock management, warehousing systems and fruit handling procedures.
• Good knowledge of OHS legislation.
