Transport Control Administrator

About the role

The Transport Control Administrator is responsible for mitigating company risk by managing daily vehicle dispatches and driver debriefs. This role ensures that routes are allocated correctly, documentation is issued, and real‑time vehicle performance is monitored to support high customer service standards and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor daily route allocations in the dispatch system, ensuring vehicles are dispatched according to business processes.
• Issue drivers all required documentation and equipment, including keys, fuel cards, thermometers and navigation tools.
• Verify and update trip information on the tracking system before vehicles leave the depot.
• Monitor real‑time fuel consumption, speed, braking and other performance metrics; record any exceptions.
• Conduct driver debriefs on return, resolve and document route exceptions, and collect all equipment.
• Inspect vehicles for damage using the Daily Vehicle Checklist and obtain driver signatures on all relevant forms.
• Communicate any missed deadlines or risks to relevant parties and propose resolutions.
