Cash-in-Transit Driver – Secure Vehicle Operations

About the role

The position involves acting as the custodian of IZI's vehicle and assets while delivering Cash‑in‑Transit (CIT) services on a dedicated schedule. The driver must ensure full compliance with company policies, security protocols and road safety legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical roadworthiness checks and system inspections before and after each shift, escalating any defects.
• Report accidents, suspicious activities or vehicle immobilisations immediately to the Control Room and relevant authorities.
• Follow mandatory security procedures, wear protective gear, participate in security drills and obtain authorisation before exiting the vehicle.
• Operate the vehicle safely in line with the Road Traffic Act and company health‑and‑safety standards.
• Execute scheduled trips using route‑optimisation practices and communicate any deviations or delays.
• Ensure all equipment (radios, scanners, keys) is functional, and the vehicle is refuelled and cleaned for the next shift.
• Maintain a “Safety First” culture by participating in safety forums and training programmes.

Required profile

• Valid PDP driver’s licence.
• PSIRA Grade C certification.
• Cash‑in‑Transit certification.
• SAPS Firearm Competency for Handgun Certificate.
• Statement of Results from PFTC or SASSETA for business‑purpose firearms.
• No credit record, no criminal record, and not registered as a director of any company.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑shooting assessment and OBET training.
