Trainer (Learning & Development)

About the role

The Trainer (Learning & Development) will ensure comprehensive training and development for Finance Credit Champions, customer service representatives, and debt‑collection agents. You will design and deliver engaging in‑person and virtual sessions that boost skills, knowledge, and performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage training budgets, optimise expenses (travel, materials, platform subscriptions) and report financial impact.
• Assess training needs, develop manuals, handouts and online resources tailored to the microlending environment.
• Collaborate with Finance Management, Sales Managers and Merchant representatives to align programmes with business objectives.
• Deliver interactive training for new hires and refresher sessions for existing staff, adapting methods to diverse learning styles.
• Travel nationally (up to 70%) to conduct on‑site sessions and facilitate virtual training via multiple platforms.

Required profile

• Senior Certificate; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• ETDP Certificate or Diploma (essential); L&D certification advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a trainer in microlending, sales, customer service, debt collection or financial services.
• Proficiency with e‑learning authoring tools, training assessment and evaluation processes, and Learning Management Systems.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the country.
• Knowledge of relevant financial services laws and regulations is a plus.
