Technical Facilitator / Instructor – Millwright

About the role

The Technical Facilitator/Instructor will lead the skills development of millwright apprentices and interns, ensuring compliance with QCTO/ECSA standards. You will manage training activities, assess learner progress, and maintain a safe, well‑organized workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to apprentices and interns in the millwright discipline.
• Assess and moderate logbooks, reports, and accreditation documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist the lead instructor with equipment inspections, tool management, and workshop housekeeping.
• Prepare quotations, procure consumables, and support programme planning for clients.
• Maintain attendance records, enforce punctuality, and handle disciplinary matters in partnership with HR.
• Compile monthly training reports and submit modules for assessment.
• Implement health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with ISO and company policies.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification or experience in millwright training.
• Familiarity with QCTO, ECSA, and ISO standards.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workshop resources.
• Experience in assessing learner documentation and conducting risk assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, HR, and client stakeholders.
