TPM Internship – Industrial Engineering (Final Year)

About the role

This internship offers a final‑year Industrial Engineering or Operations Management student hands‑on exposure to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Continuous Improvement within a dynamic brewery environment. You will work closely with the TPM and Capability Specialist to support plant‑wide productivity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and sustaining TPM pillars across the plant.
• Support continuous improvement projects, including Kaizen events and root‑cause analysis.
• Help identify and eliminate operational losses and downtime.
• Participate in performance data analysis, reporting, and visual management.
• Contribute to 5S, workplace organisation, and training coordination activities.
• Maintain skills matrices, training records, and competency tracking documents.
• Engage with employees at all levels to promote a culture of ownership.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management (final‑year student).
• South African citizenship.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Effective time‑management and capacity to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Required skills

• Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
