Temporary Reconciliation Clerk (SAP)

About the role

We are looking for a Temporary Reconciliation Clerk to join the finance team of a well‑established FMCG and retail organisation in Cape Town. The role is on‑site at Ottery Road and starts immediately or on short notice, providing essential support for daily cash and account reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cash, banking and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile store deposits, receipts, tenders and other financial transactions.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in reconciliation reports.
• Follow up on outstanding queries with stores and internal departments.
• Capture and process financial information accurately using SAP.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with clearing accounts and month‑end reconciliations.
• Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly deadlines are met.
• Provide general finance and administrative support as required.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Previous experience in reconciliation, cash office or finance administration.
• Proven SAP experience – essential and non‑negotiable.
• Experience in FMCG or retail environments is highly advantageous.
• Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Immediate availability or ability to start on short notice.
• Ability to travel daily to Ottery Road.
