Compliance & Onboarding Agent – Fintech (Hybrid, Cape Town)

About the role

SnapScan is seeking a skilled Compliance & Onboarding Agent to help shape its compliance and customer onboarding journey. You will gain deep insights into the payments industry while working in a dynamic fintech environment based in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Execute back‑office KYC, AML, CTF and FICA processes for merchant registration and manual user verification.
• Remediate non‑compliant merchants and drive them to a verified state using data‑driven approaches.
• Serve as a product specialist, resolving merchant and user queries independently.
• Liaise with external sales teams and internal product, development and compliance teams to streamline processes.
• Monitor merchant behaviour for fraud, manage off‑boarding of non‑compliant accounts, and handle high‑volume real‑time compliance requests.
