Temporary Primary School Social Science Teacher (Grade 4‑7)

About the role

SPARK Schools is seeking a dynamic temporary teacher to deliver Social Sciences to Grade 4‑7 scholars at its Rivonia primary campus. The role focuses on fostering curiosity, critical thinking and global citizenship through engaging, blended‑learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with Natural Sciences and Social Sciences curriculum standards.
• Utilise a variety of instructional strategies, hands‑on experiments, multimedia resources and interactive technologies to create active learning experiences.
• Encourage scholarly inquiry, critical thinking and problem‑solving through project‑based learning.
• Assess scholar progress through quizzes, projects and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration and a love for exploration.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
• Keep accurate records of academic performance, attendance and behaviour.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, school staff and parents/guardians to support student achievement.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching Social Sciences to primary‑level learners.
• Ability to create engaging, standards‑aligned lesson plans.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
