Temporary Finance Officer: Creditors

About the role

United Exports is looking for an experienced Finance Officer: Creditors to join its Finance team in Paarl on a temporary basis. It is a hands-on role in a fast-paced finance environment, suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, meeting deadlines and keeping accounts in order.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier and intercompany invoices accurately and on time
• Manage creditor age analysis and monthly supplier reconciliations
• Prepare and process weekly creditor payment batches
• Capture cash-book transactions and complete bank reconciliations
• Resolve supplier queries and account discrepancies
• Process purchase orders, journals and account allocations
• Reconcile intercompany accounts, grower loan accounts, credit card accounts and related transactions
• Ensure supplier documentation and financial records are complete and accurate
• Support month-end creditors processes and reporting

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric
• A relevant Finance or Accounting diploma or degree
• At least 2 years of relevant finance or creditors experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning and organisational ability
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office
• Experience with NetSuite is advantageous
• Strong reconciliation and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
