Telesales Clerk – Gauteng (Customer Service & Sales)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Telesales Clerk to support our sales team in Gauteng. You will generate quotations, sign up customers, handle general administration and actively pursue new business leads through cold‑calling.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document customer information, payment methods and purchase history.
• Stay up‑to‑date on product range and inform customers of new offerings.
• Answer product‑related questions and meet assigned sales quotas.
• Develop and use a sales script to engage prospects, build rapport and close sales.
• Identify customer needs, present benefits, handle objections and secure orders.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Seek referrals and support the sales pipeline through cold‑calling.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4 qualification; relevant further qualification is an advantage.
• 1‑3 years experience in telesales, call‑centre or a similar environment.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• SAP (advantageous).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (all MS packages).
