Technology Domain Specialist II

About the role

The Technology Domain Specialist II will own and guide the evolution of multiple technology or domain assets, ensuring their health and alignment with the organisation's strategic goals. This role provides technical leadership within the Centre of Excellence and works closely with engineering leads and senior executives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on technology and domain assets.
• Lead code design, analysis, integration, and conduct technology reviews for quality assurance.
• Define and maintain patterns, practices, and standards for technology application.
• Advise engineering leads and senior executives on technical decisions and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with domain architects and consultants to shape technology roadmaps.
• Operate within governance and compliance frameworks for technology use.
• Plan and drive implementation of technical roadmaps and conduct R&D experiments.
• Participate in special interest groups, conferences, and internal knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Mentor and coach team members, and contribute to talent management practices.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or equivalent.
• Degree or Diploma in IT preferred.
• Relevant technology or domain certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in the specific technology or domain.
