Technical Sales Representative – Lighting Industry

About the role

Belmar Personnel is looking for a motivated Technical Sales Representative to drive growth in the lighting sector. You will develop new business and nurture existing relationships across commercial, hospitality, residential, retail and wholesale markets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers in targeted market segments.
• Build and maintain relationships with electrical wholesalers, retailers, contractors, architects, interior designers, developers, consultants and project managers.
• Promote and sell decorative, architectural, commercial and smart lighting solutions.
• Prepare quotations, product presentations, specifications and lighting proposals.
• Manage projects from enquiry through specification, quotation, order placement, delivery and after‑sales support.
• Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations and presentations.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
• Represent the company at exhibitions, industry events and networking opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal sales, technical support and logistics teams.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of proven sales experience in the lighting industry.
• Strong project and specification sales background.
• Established relationships with electrical wholesalers, architects, engineers and contractors.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel for customer visits.
