Technical Procurement Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Procurement Manager who will combine chemistry expertise with commercial strategy to drive smarter sourcing, stronger supply continuity and measurable cost savings. The role sits at the intersection of R&D, quality, production and procurement, influencing supplier relationships and material selection.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate raw materials, packaging and suppliers, reviewing TDS, SDS and COA documentation and identifying alternative materials without compromising formulation performance.
• Negotiate pricing, specifications, service level agreements and contract terms.
• Manage supplier performance, risk and compliance.
• Optimise stock availability and support material planning.
• Use SAP Business One to strengthen purchasing and MRP processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum 3 years R&D experience with strong paint/coatings chemistry and formulation knowledge.
• Procurement management or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• CIPS certification is an advantage.
