Technical Manager – Design, Quality & Production

About the role

The Technical Manager will ensure technical integrity and coordination of customer enquiries from quotation through fabrication to delivery. This hands‑on role provides technical leadership across sales, design, quality assurance, production and end‑of‑line quality control for an electrical product manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Control and align technical information, drawings, specifications and processes with company strategy and manufacturing requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to support product quality, efficient production and reliable delivery.
• Oversee internal sales, design, QA and production activities, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
• Maintain high standards of customer service through effective technical support.

Required profile

• Technical qualification (BEng Engineering, BTech Engineering or equivalent).
• 10+ years experience in manufacturing, preferably jobbing or electrical products, with strong exposure to design and quality.
• Proven experience in a production environment covering technical sales, QA and design office functions.
• Ability to manage frequent changes and a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of industry standards and certifications such as UL, IEC and ISO.
• Familiarity with drawing office software and related processes.
