Technical Lead

About the role

The Technical Lead will own the Websure Plus platform and drive its evolution toward Brolink’s Automated Operating Model. This hands‑on role combines architecture design, AI integration and close collaboration with development and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the current Websure Plus architecture, document dependencies, technical debt and establish clear ownership within Brolink.
• Define the target architecture and roadmap, creating reusable patterns for APIs, integrations, security, deployment and observability.
• Guide AI‑assisted development, evaluating large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation and AI agents while implementing strict data‑protection controls.
• Design API and integration standards, ensuring secure, versioned, and monitored connections with brokers, insurers and service providers.
• Support development teams with technical designs, DevSecOps practices, automated testing and release automation.
• Define data migration patterns, ensuring traceability, validation and controlled rollback for product, policy and financial data.
• Embed security, privacy, resilience and compliance (POPIA, insurance‑sector regulations) into all solution designs.

Required profile

• At least six years of professional software‑development experience, including senior developer or technical lead roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with C#.NET, relational databases and Microsoft Azure architecture.
• Proven ability to design and evolve complex enterprise or transaction‑processing platforms.
• Experience modernising legacy systems while supporting live customers and handling complex data migrations.
• Excellent communication skills to convey architecture decisions to executives, business stakeholders and technical teams.
