Senior Software Engineer – Websure Plus & Applied AI

About the role

Brolink is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to accelerate delivery and modernisation of the Websure Plus platform while introducing practical AI capabilities into software delivery and business processes. The role is based in Centurion and involves hands‑on coding, problem‑solving, and mentoring junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and support production‑quality Websure Plus functionality across front‑end, service, database and integration layers.
• Investigate and resolve complex application, data, integration and performance issues, using logs, metrics and diagnostic tools.
• Produce clear, secure, maintainable and testable code, improve CI/CD pipelines and address findings from quality‑scanning tools.
• Use AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to enhance analysis, coding, testing and documentation while ensuring human review.
• Design and implement secure APIs, integrate with brokers, insurers and payment providers, and support Brolink’s API marketplace.
• Develop and improve data migration processes, ensuring compliance with POPIA and security requirements.
• Coach and mentor developers through pairing, code reviews and design discussions.

Required profile

• At least six years of professional software‑development experience, including senior or technical‑lead roles.
• Strong experience with C#.NET and relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server).
• Proven ability to deliver modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Practical cloud‑development experience, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS exposure advantageous).
• Experience with API design, integration, and high‑volume transaction systems.
