Technical Lead

About the role

We are a leading renewable energy EPC contractor and Independent Power Producer operating across Southern Africa. As Technical Lead, you will drive innovation, mentor a talented team of developers and designers, and oversee the technical ecosystem that powers our cutting‑edge solutions for commercial and industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of software applications using ReactJS, Node.js, TypeScript, Auth.js, Next.js and Framer Motion.
• Manage and mentor a cross‑functional team of developers and UI/UX designers, ensuring delivery against project objectives and deadlines.
• Establish and maintain high standards of software quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration.
• Identify and mitigate technical debt, security vulnerabilities and reliability risks.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to create user‑friendly, visually appealing interfaces.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven senior‑level experience as a software developer with strong expertise in ReactJS, Node.js and Next.js.
• Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
