Tax Manager – Funds, Private Client Services (Belfast/Derry)

About the role

EY is seeking a motivated Tax Manager to join its specialist Funds Tax team in Belfast. You will work with a portfolio of UK and international private equity houses, delivering UK tax reporting, transaction analysis and advisory services for both the firms and their principals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of UK tax reporting and transaction analysis for private equity clients.
• Provide technical tax advice on fund structuring, partnership taxation and cross‑border issues.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior team members, ensuring high‑quality outputs.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and help grow the client base.
• Support people initiatives, including training and retention activities.

Required profile

• Relevant tax experience in a similar private‑equity environment.
• Strong client‑focused mindset with commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, budgets and fees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CTA, ACA, ATT, CA, ACCA or equivalent tax qualification preferred.
