Talent Acquisition Specialist – Crewing

About the role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist – Crewing will lead end‑to‑end recruitment for the luxury Explora Journeys brand within the Shosholoza Ocean Academy. You will partner with operational leaders, crewing teams and HR stakeholders to attract, assess and secure high‑calibre talent that meets ultra‑luxury hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for hosts and maritime‑related positions.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role profiles, workforce planning needs and recruitment targets.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, talent pipelines and industry partnerships.
• Conduct screening, interviews, assessments, reference checks and coordinate interview scheduling.
• Ensure timely, professional communication with candidates and maintain a premium candidate experience.
• Organise in‑person recruitment events, including venue planning, candidate pre‑selection and on‑site supervision.
• Build proactive talent pipelines for critical and high‑volume roles and support succession‑planning initiatives.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records, reports and ensure compliance with company procedures and employment legislation.
