Senior HR Officer

About the role

MCI is a fast‑growing tech‑enabled business services company delivering CX, BPO and technology solutions worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Officer to provide hands‑on HR support with a focus on employee relations, HR operations, compliance and business partnering.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Employee Relations matters including disciplinary processes, grievances, incapacity, performance management and investigations.
• Provide practical HR guidance to employees, managers and operational leaders.
• Support CCMA matters and ensure compliance with South African labour legislation.
• Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and processes.
• Partner with managers on employee, performance and workforce‑related matters.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.
• Support recruitment and Talent Acquisition activities when required.
• Partner with hiring managers and the TA team on recruitment requirements.
• Support high‑volume recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
• Support HR projects, audits and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years' HR experience, preferably within an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
• Proven Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and CCMA processes.
• Experience managing disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and performance matters.
• Previous experience in a BPO, contact centre or high‑volume environment is advantageous.
• Previous recruitment/Talent Acquisition experience is required.
• Experience partnering with managers and operational leaders.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with HRIS, ATS and Microsoft Office.
• Advantageous: HR‑related qualification, iCIMS/enterprise ATS experience, and experience in a multi‑site or international environment.
