Supply Chain Systems Specialist

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG company in Johannesburg, is seeking a Supply Chain Systems Specialist on a 2‑month contract. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the supply chain IT landscape, ensuring seamless operations across SAP and EDI platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support and optimise supply chain systems to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshoot system issues, including SAP IDoc management.
• Act as the link between business users and IT teams.
• Monitor EDI performance and system integrations.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
• Lead supply chain systems projects and implementations.
• Create business process documentation and user training material.
• Develop reports and analytics to support business decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Supply Chain Systems or Supply Chain IT role.
• Strong SAP back‑end experience.
• FMCG industry experience is essential.
• Good understanding of supply chain processes.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with EDI and IDoc monitoring is advantageous.
