Supply Chain Manager I

About the role

Join Woolworths as a Supply Chain Manager I to align, integrate and optimise the end‑to‑end Foods supply chain, ensuring high levels of product availability, freshness, service and cost efficiency within a high‑complexity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the Foods Supply Chain strategy into a clear, executable operating plan.
• Develop and implement a supply‑chain optimisation roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment for integrated end‑to‑end execution across suppliers, distribution centres, stores and customers.
• Design, monitor and manage the Foods Supply Chain scorecard covering service, cost, availability and waste.
• Set and manage annual budgets, targets and performance expectations.
• Oversee logistics activities including inbound/outbound transportation, warehousing, order fulfilment, network design and inventory control.
• Manage both local and international (import) supply chains and various fulfilment models (warehouse, flow‑through, cross‑dock, DSD, omnichannel).
• Handle contract management and ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or Accounting (CIMA, CA[SA] advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years experience leading optimisation or transformative initiatives from concept to execution.
• At least 5 years of project and change‑management experience with a solid grasp of relevant methods and tools.
• 6‑8 years experience in supply chain & logistics for local, imports and omnichannel environments.
• Experience in a foods retail setting and proven stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
