Structural / Civil / Mechanical Design Draughtsperson

About the role

A well‑established engineering company operating in the mining and minerals sector is seeking an experienced Design Draughtsperson to produce accurate structural, civil and mechanical drawings for mining projects. The role is based in Lydenburg and offers a permanent contract with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural, civil and mechanical engineering drawings using Autodesk software.
• Produce fabrication and construction drawings that meet project specifications and standards.
• Update and revise drawings as project requirements evolve.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control systems.
• Support design improvements and contribute to project deliverables.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with a draughting or engineering qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a structural, civil or mechanical design draughtsperson.
• Proven experience in the mining and minerals industry.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Willingness to relocate to Lydenburg or travel to the office as required.
