Strategic Programme Manager – Social Economic Impact

About the role

The Strategic Programme Manager will lead enterprise‑wide initiatives that drive social and economic impact. Reporting to senior leadership, you will align programmes with organisational priorities, manage cross‑functional teams and build trusted stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement programme strategies that support organisational goals.
• Plan, design and govern programmes, ensuring quality assurance and budget control.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, including project managers, to deliver programme outcomes.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies.
• Manage stakeholder communication, expectations and conflict resolution.
• Monitor progress against KPIs, address deviations and take corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Administration or related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience managing large‑scale programmes or complex projects in youth development, education, economic inclusion, entrepreneurship or similar social‑impact domains.
• Proven track record in programme planning, delivery, budget management and benefits realisation.
• Strong governance, risk and financial management experience.
• Experience engaging executive‑level stakeholders across corporate partners, government, NGOs or donor‑funded initiatives.
• Experience leading cross‑functional, enterprise‑wide initiatives in matrix or global environments (advantageous).
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile or Scrum Master are preferred.
