Strategic Planning Manager

About the role

MultiLead Consulting Services is seeking a seasoned Manager to lead the development and implementation of organisational strategic plans. The role focuses on aligning strategic priorities with public‑sector mandates and driving performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic planning frameworks, policies, and guidelines.
• Coordinate environmental scanning, strategic analyses, and consultative workshops.
• Lead the creation and review of the RTIA Strategic Plan and ensure alignment with organisational mandates.
• Oversee the development of Annual Performance Plans (APP) and divisional operational plans.
• Validate indicators, targets, and technical specifications for performance monitoring.
• Facilitate approvals of strategic documents through governance structures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Strategic Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation or related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years experience in strategic or institutional planning, with at least 3 years in a junior‑management or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, National Treasury Framework, DPSA governance and performance management practices.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
