Storeman – Hotel Procurement & Stores

About the role

The President Hotel is seeking a detail‑oriented Storeman to join its Procurement & Stores team. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing stock while ensuring compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and sustainability standards in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify all deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, damages or quality concerns.
• Process invoices and supporting documentation accurately.
• Store goods correctly, maintain organised storage areas and conduct temperature checks for dry stores, fridges and freezers.
• Follow HACCP procedures, maintain FIFO rotation and monitor expiry dates.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with Green Key sustainability standards.
• Maintain accurate stock records, participate in monthly counts and full stock takes.
• Monitor slow‑moving, obsolete or excess stock and assist with optimisation initiatives.
• Conduct routine pest inspections and ensure clean, safe storage environments.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Kitchen, F&B, Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to issue stock efficiently.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in hospitality stores, warehouse, receiving or food‑service logistics.
• Knowledge of HACCP procedures (highly advantageous).
• Strong understanding of FIFO, stock rotation and inventory control principles.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Honest, reliable and able to maintain high operational standards.
