Store Manager - Cavendish

About the role

Burnt Studios is looking for an experienced retail leader to run its high-turnover Village Walk store in Cape Town. The Store Manager leads a high-performing team, drives strong commercial results and keeps the store operating at the highest standard, while remaining hands-on during busy trading periods.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the store's performance, driving sales, productivity and commercial results.
• Lead, coach and develop the team while keeping a strong, healthy store culture.
• Set clear expectations, hold the team accountable and create a supportive environment.
• Oversee daily operations so customer service, visual standards, stock management and processes stay high.
• Use performance insights to find opportunities, solve challenges and improve results.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, especially during high-volume trading.
• Build a team that delivers an exceptional customer experience and represents the brand authentically.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of managerial experience, preferably in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong track record of driving sales and achieving commercial targets.
• Experience in a high-volume or high-turnover retail environment is highly advantageous.
• A relevant diploma or degree in Retail Business Management, Organisational Psychology, Operations, Business Management or a related field is advantageous.
