Staff Accountant / Full-Charge Bookkeeper (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional with U.S. bookkeeping and tax experience to manage client books, maintain accurate records, and support ongoing accounting needs. This hands‑on, full‑time remote position requires independent work across multiple client accounts while adhering to EST business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update client books on a regular basis.
• Review, categorize, and record financial transactions accurately.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, and account reconciliations.
• Identify missing information, unusual transactions, or bookkeeping issues.
• Communicate clearly with internal team members regarding client account needs.
• Support month‑end and period‑end bookkeeping tasks.
• Assist with basic tax‑related accounting preparation and documentation.
• Keep client records organized, accurate, and ready for review.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of U.S. accounting, bookkeeping, or tax experience.
• Equivalent of a U.S. accounting degree.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
• Experience working with U.S.–based clients or accounting firms (preferred).
• Strong written and spoken English with clear pronunciation.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned client accounts.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and deadline‑focused.
• Available during EST business hours with a reliable remote work setup.
