SQA Associate Specialist Engineer

About the role

Discovery Life is looking for an SQA Associate Specialist Engineer to design, develop and execute automated test scripts that ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline and helping to improve overall testing efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium and JUnit.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
• Create detailed test plans, cases and scripts for functional, regression and performance testing.
• Execute automated tests, analyse results and log defects using bug‑tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers and product managers to ensure testability and quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability.
• Stay updated on the latest test automation tools and contribute to process improvements.
• Handle post‑release activities, audit closure and retrospective analysis.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge within the testing community.

Required profile

• Self‑driven and able to manage own workload.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build relationships with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge.

Required skills

• Jira and Agile process knowledge.
• PL/SQL.
• Root cause analysis.
• Automation scripting and programming in Java.
• Test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and JUnit.
• API testing tools like Postman and SOAPUI.
