Solutions Architect (Commercial)

About the role

The Solutions Architect (Commercial) designs and validates telecom solutions that are technically sound, scalable and financially viable. Acting as the technical authority throughout the sales lifecycle, the role bridges customers, sales teams, network engineering, operations and product management to ensure alignment with network capability and commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex sales engagements as the technical lead and support account managers with solution positioning.
• Participate in customer meetings, workshops and presentations, translating business challenges into technical solutions.
• Design end‑to‑end telecommunications solutions covering fibre, access, IP, connectivity and redundancy.
• Evaluate feasibility across network, service and operational domains and ensure compliance with network standards and architecture principles.
• Validate scalability, resilience and future‑proofing of proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with finance and product teams to confirm commercial viability, support pricing models and identify cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Identify technical, operational and delivery risks and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Provide technical coaching, create solution templates and act as subject‑matter expert for sales enablement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in designing and delivering telecommunications solutions.
• Strong understanding of network standards, architecture principles and operational feasibility.
• Ability to work across sales, engineering, finance and product functions.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess commercial and technical risk.
• Effective communication skills for customer workshops and internal enablement.
