Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of finance‑focused enterprise solutions. You will work closely with Finance, Technology, Security, and Data teams to translate business needs into robust, future‑ready architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and document current business operations and application landscapes.
• Develop architecture components aligned with enterprise strategy and finance transformation goals.
• Design integration patterns—including APIs, middleware, and event‑driven architectures—to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Create high‑quality artefacts that follow Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Define data architecture, migration, and governance strategies to uphold data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the primary technical liaison between internal teams and integration partners.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate architectural risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Guide delivery teams through design, build, test, and deployment phases.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in IT Solution Architecture within large‑scale enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and cloud‑based architectures, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF or ArchiMate.
• Deep understanding of security, risk, and regulatory compliance in financial systems.
