Software Engineer

About the role

Red Badger is looking for a Software Engineer to join its digital product delivery function. You will work in multidisciplinary, cross‑functional teams delivering high‑quality digital products for a variety of clients. The role offers a hybrid work model with three days in the London office and two days remote each week.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, engineers and testers in a cross‑functional team.
• Employ modern development practices to ship high‑quality software.
• Adapt to new languages and frameworks as project needs evolve.
• Coach and support peers, including pair programming.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of user stories following agile principles.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies.
• Engage with clients to shape project direction and progress.
• Help up‑skill teams and embed modern software development practices.

Required profile

• Good knowledge and experience in one or more programming languages across frontend and backend.
• Passion for software craftsmanship and continuous learning.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.
• Strong focus on delivering pragmatic, client‑focused solutions.
