Software Developer – Python & Node.js (On-site, Sandton)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Developer to build and enhance our Tech Audit engine. The role focuses on creating intuitive, logic‑driven user journeys that assess digital maturity for B2B clients. The position is based on‑site in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑stack design, architecture and development of the proof‑of‑concept using modern web service technologies.
• Map and implement linear user flows and question datasets that evaluate business digital maturity.
• Produce system design specifications and business rules to ensure robust, scalable audit logic.
• Rapidly prototype front‑end features with tools such as v0.dev or Bolt.new (“vibe coding”).
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to guarantee zero downtime for clients.
• Collaborate within Agile teams, translating user stories into functional code.
• Work with the ICT Consulting team to align software outputs with hardware and technical strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience in software architecture and complex logic flow design.
• Strong understanding of Agile development and ability to document system designs.
• Problem‑solving mindset focused on intelligent business solutions.
• Based in or near Johannesburg/Sandton and able to commute daily.

Required skills

• Python development.

• Experience with web‑based automation tools and cloud integration.
