Software Developer II

About the role

Our client in the Banking sector requires a Software Developer II to join their team. This is a 1‑year fixed‑term contract with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality software that meets detailed design specifications.
• Develop critical and complex technical components within the assigned area of accountability.
• Design robust, fault‑tolerant system components for large, complex systems.
• Ensure components are supportable, maintainable and reusable.
• Create observable and scalable software solutions.
• Estimate work effort and manage deployment packages.
• Troubleshoot software issues and provide guidance to team members.
• Produce documentation, unit and system test cases, and conduct testing.
• Maintain source‑control libraries and manage deployment artefacts.
• Collaborate with business, development and operations engineers to optimise tools.

Required profile

• Provide guidance and mentoring to other software developers.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners and engineering leads to refine solutions.
• Contribute to system decomposition and component development.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field and support continuous improvement.
• Participate in culture‑building and corporate responsibility initiatives.
