Lead Solution Engineer - Financial Services

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Solution Engineer to work with its leading Financial Services clients. The role is central to crafting customer engagement strategies, demonstrating Salesforce's platform capabilities and turning complex business needs into solutions. You will engage with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, to build roadmaps and deliver transformational pitches.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Business and IT teams in discovery sessions to uncover challenges and design tailored Salesforce solutions.
• Demonstrate Salesforce capabilities through live demos, prototypes and presentations, and support sales cycles with RFx responses, business cases and ROI analyses.
• Act as a trusted advisor across the customer journey, bridging pre-sales strategy and post-sale execution and driving platform adoption.
• Build customer journey strategies and IT roadmaps for large enterprises, and consult on business and technical solutions.
• Travel as required for client meetings and workshops.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent, backed by 10+ years of experience in IT, technology consulting or enterprise software sales and implementation.
• Proven pre-sales or solution delivery experience in Financial Services (banking, insurance, fintechs, NBFCs, wealth and asset management).
• In-depth understanding of financial industry metrics, customer engagement processes and ROI justification.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills, with a track record engaging C-level executives.

Required skills

• Generative AI and autonomous agents, and consumption-based business models.
• Cloud computing, modern CRM platforms, marketing automation and related enterprise technologies.
• Ability to turn complex requirements into customer journey maps and tailored demos.
• Nice to have: Salesforce certifications (Agentforce, Data 360, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud), prior Salesforce or CRM solution engineering experience, and a background with system integrators or tech consultancies.
