Software Developer – Geospatial & Cloud Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned software developer to join our agri‑tech team. You will work on a platform that combines satellite imagery, IoT weather stations and advanced analytics to give farmers real‑time insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement web applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and Next.js.
• Develop and maintain mobile solutions with React Native (Expo).
• Integrate and manage geospatial data using QGIS, PyQGIS, PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
• Build and operate cloud services on AWS (Lambda, RDS, Cognito, EC2, API Gateway, Route 53, Bedrock).
• Work with Linux CLI environments and automate deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to translate remote‑sensing requirements into functional software.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or GeoInformatics.
• Strong knowledge of remote sensing and geospatial data management.
• Fluent communication in English; Afrikaans proficiency is a plus.
