Software Developer – AWS, RESTful Microservices

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and self‑motivated software developer to join our Johannesburg office. You will work closely with senior management and a collaborative team to deliver high‑quality code and drive the evolution of our software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop readable, maintainable and modular code using AWS services, Postman, Git, SQL and other tools.
• Design, develop and implement accurate test plans.
• Develop and integrate RESTful microservices.
• Prioritise work items against broader business objectives.
• Collaborate with senior management to deliver outcomes.
• Promote test‑driven development, continuous integration and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential business impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3‑4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong interest in object‑oriented programming languages such as Salesforce or Java Spring.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
