Social Media Manager

About the role

We are looking for a creative Social Media Manager to own and grow Zar Media Group’s online presence. Working remotely from anywhere in South Africa, you will shape the brand voice across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, supporting our growth in the accounting and financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a monthly content calendar for LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.
• Create written and visual posts, carousels, stories and reels tailored to a professional B2B audience.
• Grow the LinkedIn company page and Facebook following organically and increase engagement.
• Translate complex topics such as POPIA, FICA and document management into clear, engaging copy.
• Monitor comments, messages and mentions, responding daily to build community.
• Track and report monthly metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth and lead referrals.
• Stay up‑to‑date with social media trends and adjust the strategy accordingly.
• Collaborate with the founders on campaign ideas, product launches and outreach content.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or related field (optional).
• 1‑2 years of experience managing social media for a B2B brand or professional services company.
• Strong copywriting ability for a professional audience.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet remote deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canva or similar design tools.
• Experience using Meta Business Suite.
• Experience with LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
• Basic video editing for reels and short‑form content.
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals.
