Social Media & Content Manager

About the role

Expandly is a fast‑growing SaaS‑enabled agency helping ecommerce brands expand internationally. We are looking for an experienced Social Media & Content Manager to own LinkedIn as a commercial growth channel, turning thought‑leadership content into qualified pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Write long‑form LinkedIn posts for the company page and senior team members, delivering human‑focused thought leadership.
• Build and maintain a content calendar aligned with campaign themes, events and market moments.
• Manage the first‑hour engagement window on each post to maximise algorithmic reach and actively engage target founders and industry influencers.
• Execute a systematic connection‑building strategy targeting US ecommerce founders, heads of international expansion and marketplace/logistics managers.
• Adapt video, webinar and podcast material into LinkedIn‑native formats.
• Report weekly and monthly on reach, engagement, follower growth and content performance, feeding insights back into the calendar.
• Identify referral, conversation and warm‑introduction opportunities for the commercial team.

Required profile

• Proven track record of growing LinkedIn reach and engagement for a B2B company, with measurable results.
• Excellent long‑form writing that feels human and authentic.
• Deep practical knowledge of LinkedIn’s algorithm and organic reach drivers.
• Proactive community engagement mindset.
• Commercial awareness of international ecommerce, marketplaces and logistics.
• Self‑managed and reliable in an asynchronous remote environment.
• Valid right to work in South Africa.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent role working South Africa business hours (08:00‑17:00 SAST) with occasional UK call flexibility.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Competitive salary of R17,000–R19,000 per month, dependent on experience.
