About the role
Roche is seeking a Skills Development & Compliance Coordinator to manage youth development programmes and transformation initiatives at its Brackengate site in Cape Town. The role acts as the main bridge between internal departments and external partners, ensuring that all activities comply with local statutory requirements and corporate equity goals.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for youth development initiatives, aligning departmental resources with programme objectives.
- Manage communications and relationships with universities, colleges, academic institutions and funding bodies.
- Maintain and update the statutory site training register, tracking learning interventions and participant progress.
- Coordinate documentation collection for compliance submissions to local education and training authorities, including Workplace Skills Plans.
- Partner with People & Culture and Legal teams to compile compliance reports and manage employee data in line with equity standards.
- Organise logistics for equity forums, conduct site policy audits, and maintain meeting agendas and minutes.
- Provide ad‑hoc administrative support and monitor the effectiveness of employee engagement and transformation initiatives.
Required profile
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented and proactive administrative professional.
- Strong passion for human‑resource development and equity initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven project coordination capability.
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a corporate environment or relevant practice areas such as legal administration, CSR or HR support.
- Solid understanding of local regulatory and equity compliance requirements.
