Site Construction Supervisor – Mining & Plant

About the role

We are seeking a Site Construction Supervisor to lead electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction activities at a mining or plant site in Upington. The role involves ensuring all installations meet design specifications, client standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and verify E&I construction and installation works on‑site.
• Ensure compliance with the E&I design, standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve technical issues and incorporate design changes.
• Monitor health and safety compliance in line with the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
• Maintain accurate documentation of construction progress and quality checks.

Required profile

• Diploma NQF Level 6 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of industrial experience in mining or plant environments, including at least 3 years as an E&I Construction Supervisor.
• Medically fit for duty as defined by the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Valid EC1 (code 10) driver’s licence.
• Extensive operational and design experience with exposure to relevant design programmes.
• Strong knowledge of client standards and specifications.
